The article – The Dao of Anima Mundi: I Ching and Jungian Analysis, the Way and the Meaning – written by Prof Shen Heyong, Dean of Institute of Analytical Psychology of the City University of Macau, was included in the first volume of the Anthology of Contemporary Theoretical Classics in Analytical Psychology: The New Ancestors.
The Anthology of Contemporary Theoretical Classics in Analytical Psychology: The New Ancestors, edited by the Italian psychoanalyst Stefano Carpani was published by Routledge, a world's leading academic publisher in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The new book brought together writings contributed by the 14 prominent “Jungian ancestors”.
Prof Shen’s work was based on his presentation at the 20th IAAP (International Association of Analytical Psychology) international conference. The article examined Analytical Psychology and Chinese culture, which has been translated into eight languages.
Mr Carpani conducted a research study in 2019 and nominated 48 senior psychoanalysts worldwide as the “Jungian ancestors”. The project took “Who exactly are today’s Jungian ancestors?” as the topic and interviewed psychoanalysts and scholars who practised or studied Analytical Psychology (also known as Jungian analysis).
